Selena Gomez MIGHT be Dropping a New Album

Nothing gets by Selena Gomez fans unnoticed. After all, with 109 million (!) followers on Instagram, the 24-year-old pop star has more eyes on her than anyone else on social media.

So it’s no surprise the Internet went a little crazy when Gomez changed her profile picture on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. What does it mean? Is this the first look at new cover art? A sneak peek at a new video? A multi-platform profile change is a pretty big deal, and fans are hoping it’s a sign that new music is on the way.

Celebrity stylist Christian Classen shared a version of the cryptic pic on his own account. He captioned the photo with #newness and tagged music video director Alek Keshishian, who worked on Selena’s visuals for “Hands to Myself.” Hmm interesting...

Not convinced? Yesterday, Kygo took to Instagram to tease a song clip, and it’s definitely Gomez’s voice. Rumours of a collaboration between the DJ and the singer/actress were sparked when she shared a sneak peek at a mystery new song on her snapchat story and then tagged Kygo in a photograph. No release date has been given (yet!), but we can’t wait for this soulful sounding tropical house song to drop.

Only time will tell if a surprise Selena album is in the works. In the meantime, we’ll be keeping our heads up for all the teases and tips.
