See more of Rodarte’s ballerina costumes in the Black Swan trailer

I fondly remember my ballet instructor rolling her eyes at the scene in Center Stage where they have the soapy sponge fight in the empty studio of the prestigious New York studio. “That would never happen,” she said. I wonder what she’d say about Black Swan, Darren Aronofsky‘s (The Wrestler, Requiem for a Dream) chilly film about a twisted rivalry between two dancers, (Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis) complete with wing-like scars on Portman’s back and a steamy make out between the two leading ladies. Over here, we’ve been swooning about the Rodarte tutus, so we’re excited to finally see the trailer and get a better glimpse of the frothy creations. In any case, don’t expect this one to have a happy ending.
