While we usually reserve all of our royal gushing for Kate Middleton, today we’re turning our attention to her husband. Happy 30th birthday, William! It’s a milestone birthday that most of us commoners can relate to—feeling like a real adult, wondering if we did enough in our twenties—but for Will, it also comes with an estimated £10 million trust, which was set up by the estate of his late mother, Princess Diana. However, before we start picturing a Scrooge-McDuck-swimming-pools-of-money-esque 30th birthday party, palace officials have said that celebrations will be “low key and private.”

(At least we can count on Prince Harry to do the exact opposite when he inherits the same amount of money on his 30th birthday. The countdown to September 30, 2014 is on!)

Which brings us to our next question: when you’re married to the future King of England and he just inherited a boatload of money, what do you get him for his 30th birthday? Rumours have been swirling for months that one of Kate’s gifts is a portrait painted by Nicky Philipps, which is fine and appropriate, sure. But we have some better suggestions:

1. Dancing lessons. Will has admitted that Kate’s a much better dancer than he is, so we think it would be rather cute for them to learn to dance together—she can share her talents! As long as Kate doesn’t pull a Princess Diana and perform a surprise routine to “Uptown Girl” on stage, we’re good.

2. A boat. Every royal needs one, and from participating in jubilee flotillas to hiding from the paparazzi off the coast of Mustique, Will and Kate would get a lot of use out of it.

3. A waterfall. Will flies helicopters for a living and Brad Pitt was (reportedly) just gifted a helicopter and flying lessons by Angelina Jolie. Given this coincidence, we think Kate should take another page out of Jolie’s gift-giving guide—Brad got a waterfall for Christmas, so Will should get one for his 30th.

4. Matching fascinators. Considering that Will and Kate often take cues from each other’s outfits when appearing in public, isn’t it time Will had a fascinator or two of his own? But a masculine version, one that matches his military style—a beret-inator?

5. A baby! (Oh wait, that would really be more of a gift for us…)
