Why Taking a Dip at The Nai Harn Is Irresistible
You know you’re dealing with a completely decadent dilemma when you have to decide if you want to take a morning swim at one of Thailand’s most popular beaches—Nai Harn Beach—or take a dip in the pool at the Nai Harn resort. When I jokingly polled my Insta followers for advice, the beach was winning hands down. I can see the appeal—the water is calm, the beach is sandy and the view is beyond. But as a former competitive swimmer when I was a teenager, I’m still always drawn to a pool. The one at this resort—which is considered one of Phuket’s first luxury hotels—is surrounded by bougainvillea; you can have poolside drinks—and at night it’s lit with sparkling lights that mirror the stars above it. The other advantage to staying poolside is that it’s only steps away from the spa. Spa or pool? Now that’s another tough call. It’s exactly the kinds of challenges one likes to have when they’re on vacay.
