Lindsey Wixson’s lips star in Toronto-based Joseph of Mercury’s debut video

Finally, some Toronto-grown music talent to talk about that isn’t Drake (or Prince Innocence or Young Guv or whatever else you’re into).

Joseph of Mercury, a stylish troubadour whose face you might recognize from our party coverage, has released his debut single, “Lips,” alongside a video co-starring none other than fashion’s beestung queen, Lindsey Wixson. The video, shot entirely on iPhone by Joachim Johnson, highlights the model’s crowning feature in black and white, as she mouths along to the lyrics. “She was a lot of fun to work with,” says the 26-year-old singer. “She’s super positive and brought a real energy to the shoot.”

Joseph of Mercury’s debut EP will be released sometime this summer.
