Kensington Palace unveils new and questionably improved Jaeger-designed uniforms in advance of Will and Kate’s move

After two decades of wearing the same tired gear, the staff at Kensington Palace have received a wardrobe “upgrade” from British fashion label Jaeger just in time for Will and Kate’s move to the palace next year. The frumpy new uniforms, part of a £12-million palace overhaul, pair poppy-red blazers with tuxedo-striped black skirts and pants. Though the staff seem to love the new uniforms in the photos, we can’t help but think they look remarkably like a flight crew (maybe it’s the neck scarves). And are those unisex wide-leg pants? Not okay! Was Kate not consulted? Because we seriously would have preferred something like this, this, or this.
