Katy Perry Surprises Orlando Shooting Survivor on Ellen

It’s usually all fun and games on Ellen Degeneres‘s show. But every so often, the queen of talk shows brings a special guest onto her show to share their inspiring (and usually emotional) story. Tony Marrero, an Orlando shooting survivor, is one such case. Yesterday, Ellen invited him onto her show to share his terrifying but miraculous story of that night at Pulse nightclub. Hearing that Katy Perry‘s latest single, “Rise,” was the source of his inspiration (he apparently listened to it every day), the talk show host surprised him with the (tearful) singer herself.
