Katy Perry Confirms Taylor Swift Feud During Carpool Karaoke with James Corden

Looks like there really is “Bad Blood” between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift.

Like we explained before, there was a rumoured longstanding feud between the two songstresses that appeared to have stemmed from Perry supposedly “sabotag[ing] an entire arena tour” by “stealing” Swift’s backup dancers. One diss track (Tay’s “Bad Blood”) and a response track (Katy’s “Swish Swish”) later, and Perry is finally confirming what we all believed to be true: Yes, there is beef between her and TayTay, and no, she is not at fault.

“She started it, and it’s time for her to finish it,” Perry told James Corden during an extended Primetime Carpool Karaoke Special on Monday night, before explaining the whole backup dancer situation.

“I tried to talk to her about it, and she wouldn’t speak to me,” Katy added. “I do the right thing any time that it feels like a fumble. It was a full shutdown, and then she writes a song about me [‘Bad Blood’]… that’s how you want to deal with it?"

And while Perry is “ready for that BS to be done,” she does believe karma will bite Swift back.

“Now, there is the law of cause and effect. You do something, there’s going to be a reaction, and trust me, Daddy, there’s going to be a reaction.”

She continued, “It’s all about karma, right? I think personally that women together, not divided, and none of this petty bullshit, women together will heal the world.”
