In the days leading up to Remembrance Day, Kate Middleton was out and about in full swing attending several events in order to pay her respect to the armed forces.
On Saturday evening, the Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Royal Albert Hall for the Festival of Remembrance alongside The Queen and Prince William. This was the first time the Duchess and Duke have attended the annual event, hosted by the Royal British Legion. For the occasion, Kate opted for a black lace dress by Dolce & Gabbana, similar to the eggplant number she was seen in a few weeks ago. She paired the elegant long-sleeved, midi-dress with a bedazzled poppy brooch by Buckley London, diamond earrings, an Anya Hindmarch clutch and (you guessed it!) Jimmy Choo pumps.
For Remembrance Sunday, the Duchess and the Royal Family gathered at the Cenotaph in Whitehall for the the National Service of Remembrance. Kate donned a demure ensemble (as one would), opting for a double breasted Alexander McQueen coat and simple accessories. Although a more reserved look, the Duchess kept things interesting by experimenting with textures. The topper, featuring velvet panelling, is said to be a bespoke creation, which she paired with a suede Mulberry clutch, pearl earrings by Annoushka, a black hat with butterfly motif and of course, a poppy brooch.
