After a jam-packed week of royal engagements (and royal watching for us), Kate Middleton can finally call it a wrap. For today’s public outing, the Duchess joined the royal family at St Paul’s Cathedral to honour and mark the end of combat operations in Afghanistan earlier this morning. The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry were all in attendance of the service to pay tribute to the 453 Service men and women who lost their lives during the conflict.

Choosing a fitting ensemble for the solemn event, the Duchess looked regal in a navy blue wool Beulah London coat that is just classic Kate with the nipped-in waist and soft folds at the hem. Teaming her coat with a fit-and-flare dress by (probably) the same brand, the Duchess just oozed of elegance. She matched her outfit with her Alexander McQueen suede pumps, Cornelia James gloves and a Russell and Bromley clutch, but it was her new hat that got our attention. While we hear she spent a lot of time adjusting the hat to keep it straying from out of the place, we have to say the elegant topper perfectly complemented her chic side chignon that also just so happened to show off her new sapphire jewels.

Don’t forget to join us next week as we wrap up Royal Baby watch. With only two more public appearances before Kate takes her maternity leave, we’re keeping our eyes peeled for her next outfits.
