Hillary Clinton Reminds Us the Future Is Female

There’s no doubt it’s been a tough couple of weeks for everyone across the world, but Hillary Clinton is reminding us to stay focused, take charge and be bold with little pep talk.

The former presidential candidate has been vocal and supportive on Twitter on all things female empowerment the past couple of weeks (including a Lady Gaga shout out on Twitter Sunday), and is now speaking out in an exclusive video for the 2017 Makers Conference — a three-day event currently taking place at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, California.

In the clip, which marks her first public appearance since the Inauguration, Clinton welcomes innovative female leaders with a powerful message.

“Despite all the challenges we face, I remain convinced that yes, the future is female,” Clinton says in the clip.

She adds, “So please, set an example for every woman and girl out there who’s worried about what the future holds and wonders whether our rights, opportunities, and values will endure.”

She also reinforces her key message, “And remember, you are the heroes and history makers, the glass ceiling breakers of the future. As I’ve said before, I’ll say again, never doubt you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and every opportunity in the world.”

With our March issue being a feminist-inspired one, we cannot be more onboard with Clinton’s message.
