Harper Beckham Just Put Our 6th Birthday Parties to Shame
FYI: Harper Beckham is having the best birthday ever.
Remember when we turned six and we thought our [insert theme] birthday parties were the best? Well, the youngest Beckham member just proved she’s not like the rest of us – at all.
In addition to being showered with love by her extended family and treated to sweets decorated by dad David Beckham over the weekend, Harper got the royal treatment (literally) to round out the birthday celebrations, thanks to her famous parents. As we all know from social media, it’s no surprise Harper is Victoria and David’s little princess (she is their only daughter after all). So for the littlest Beckham’s special day, she and her friends were personally invited by Princess Eugenie and the Duke and Duchess of York, to attend an exclusive tea party at their private apartment in Buckingham Palace, complete with Disney princess gowns. Talk about birthday party goals.
But before you go and think Posh and Becks had the power to turn Buckingham Palace into their little girl’s birthday party venue, hold your horses. According to the Daily Mail, the Beckhams actually attended the little gathering last week and had waited until July 10 (Harper’s real birthday) to share the pics. To avoid any backlash and confusion as to how the British It couple had the ability to pull strings, David shared a photo of himself with Harper and his mom to clarify the whole debacle.
“Just to be clear this wasn’t the palace opening the gates for Harper’s birthday party,” wrote the former football star in the Instagram caption. “This was a tea party where us and other guests were invited so it was a beautiful thing to do with my mum, Harper plus a few school friends… We were honored to be able to there… Beautiful tea party….”
Whether or not Buckingham Palace was shut down for Harper’s birthday party or it was just a private gathering that so happened to lead up to her big day, we can’t deny that this is quite the fête for a six-year-old. But given that she does come from a famous family, we really didn’t expect any less.
And of course, the Beckham clan didn’t hold back on the family-friendly PDA on social media when wishing Harper a happy birthday. While Victoria and David shared photos from the princess tea party, Harper’s three older brother – Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz – posted adorable pics of themselves and their baby sister taken at previous family vacations and events.
