Green party at the Drake
Last week, I joined revellers with a cause at the annual Earth Day Canada Gala. The national environmental charity took over the Drake Hotel for a night of non-profit partying. Between the speeches and the never-ending toasts, it was fun to hunt for enviro trends--from locally foraged food to El Naturalista footwear to foot-pedalled cabs. How cute is this chef from Eigensinn Farm? If the Food Network is reading this, please give him a daytime show. Seriously, we’d skip lunch to go home and watch it.
These patent, polka-dot pumps probably aren’t the planet-friendliest, but they’re delightfully easy on the eyes. And we love that this guest matched the lilac stripe to her lipstick. (And, hey! It’s Mark McKinney!)
