Get out your hot rollers and cat-eye sunglasses: the My Week With Marilyn trailer is here

Set to debut this weekend at the New York Film Festival, the trailer for My Week With Marilyn has been released and not a moment too soon. Starring Michelle Williams, it’s a period film that’s been flying slightly under our radar. Yes, there was the stunning Michelle-as-Monroe Vogue cover—but after watching the trailer we now see just how sensational this film will be. Here’s why we’re excited:

1. Emma Watson is in it! There’s little info about her role, but it seems she plays the concerned ladyfriend of Sir Laurence Olivier’s assistant (who wrote the memoir the film is based on), Colin Clark.
2. Bold eyebrows are back. Oh yes, we started doing some eyebrow pencil test runs right after watching.
3. Kate Hudson is not playing Marilyn Monroe. Sorry Kate, but we don’t really understand why you were originally considered for casting. Being blonde is not enough!
4. Old Hollywood gossip. The cast of interesting characters includes Gone with the Wind vixen Vivien Leigh and playwright Arthur Miller—bring on the drama.
5. Those. Cat eye. Sunglasses. Need we say more?
