Their friendship bracelets are probably gold plate instead of hemp, and their clothing swaps likely involve pieces of couture instead of ratty walk-of-shame tees, but at their core, we think fashion BFFs are a lot like us. After all, it’s no coincidence that fashionable friends seem to flock together—good style begets good style, right? Whether they’re getting crazy backstage or conquering the party circuit, you know that these dynamic duos are all about the good times. To mark #NationalBestFriendsDay, we’ve rounded up some of our favourite chic friend couples who perfectly complement each other in that special way only true besties can.
In the immortal words of Nicole Richie: “true friends are like diamonds—bright, beautiful, valuable, and always in style.” (Unless they’re Paris Hilton—that was really more of a CZ situation).

Audrey Hepburn and Hubert de Givenchy Behind one of fashion’s most iconic moments, there was an even more iconic friendship. Since the pair’s introduction in 1953 on the set of Hepburn’s film Sabrina (where Givenchy was actually expecting to meet the other, more famous Hepburn at the time, Katherine), the two became close friends, eventually collaborating on the LBD that launched a thousand impersonators, seen in the opening credits of Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
