RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE RAGE: This was a major fail. Dramatic photoshopping creates unrealistic expectations for audiences — especially young women. Lara Croft is a badass heroine that little girls should be able to look up to. And let’s be honest, the poster just looks stupid. Plain and simple. Alicia Vikander is more beautiful with a normal, human size neck.

Piers Morgan says white people should be able to use the N-word
THE STORY: A group of white sorority girls at the University of New Hampshire came under fire for singing all the lyrics Kanye West’s “Gold Digger.” Piers Morgan wrote an column in the Daily Mail blaming Kanye (and all other rappers) for putting the N-word in their lyrics.

When white people say it (or sing it in a song), they re-enforce the violence of its original meaning. Besides, it’s not that hard to skip a word in karaoke. Just don’t say it. End of story.

There’s a “Border Patrol” Halloween costume
THE STORY: Gothamist has reported that NYC locations of Spirit Halloween Superstores are selling Border Patrol agent costumes.

RIGHTEOUSNESS OF THE RAGE: Apparently, this is suppose to be a “comedic” costume. The state of immigration in America isn’t exactly funny: millions of individuals are living in a state of fear that their lives will be uprooted and their families will be torn apart. Steven Choi, director of the New York Immigration Coalition, told Gothamist, “It takes a vast amount of privilege to find humor in a uniform that represents terror and fear for millions of New Yorkers. . . . We hope people will exercise better judgement and choose not to spend their money at these stores.”

Harry Styles fans pay more for bigger merch
THE STORY: Fans at Styles’ solo LA show noted that the larger sized merch shirts are a bit more expensive than the smaller ones. A Harry fan Twitter account shared the prices of the tees, showing the extra small, small and medium sized shirts priced at $40 while the larges and above cost $45.
