You Won’t Believe Colin Farrell’s Hilarious Manscaping Confession

On an episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Irish actor Colin Farrell had the crowd laughing over a manscaping mishap that went down circa 2000.

Ellen had the former bad boy, who’s now been sober for 10 years, play a game of Celebrity Confessions. If his divulgence was juicy enough, he would win $10,000 from Shutterfly to go toward a charity of his choice. (He decided upon The Chime Institute, a school that supports a diverse learning experience, where his son James goes.)

So the story goes a little something like this: Back when Farrell had to film his first sex scene, he got a little nervous. “I went up to the director, Joel Schumacher, and I had the dressing gown on, and nothing underneath, and I was obviously so nervous that I lost my mind for a second because I opened my dressing gown and said ‘Is it a bit [gestures with hands]?' because I had, like most men, what you’d call a ‘retro bush.’"

As it turns out, Schumacher wasn’t a fan of his bush, so Farrell borrowed some beard trimmers from the hair and makeup department and got himself set up for a trim in his trailer. Before long, “I looked down and had a lovely little landing strip.”
