There are so many celebrity couples who seem so perfect together that they inspire us to find our one true love and settle down. Yet when it turns out that destiny doesn’t agree, we are heartbroken. Though we have yet to have a major breakup this year—like 2016’s super-shocker Brangelina split—there have been a few tearjerkers along the way. From ScarJo and Romain to Katy Cat and Orlando, these couples decided that they’d be better off solo in 2017.

November 2017: Multiple sources are reporting that Jennifer Lawrence, 27, and director Darren Aronofsky, 48, have split after one year of dating. The couple met on the set of Aronofsky’s Mother!, a psychological horror film which stars the Oscar-winning actress and Hunger Games star. According to Entertainment Tonight, which was first to report the news, the powerhouse duo called it quits quietly and amicably in October.
