A Look Back at Your Fave Celebs’ First Instagrams

ICYMI: Russell Crowe just joined Instagram. The 53-year-old actor has been on Twitter since April 10, 2010, and while he may be late to the game on the photo-sharing app, his use of the multi-post feature, a selfie and step-by-step guide on how to make ratatouille proves he’s a natural.

Since its launch back in October 2010, Instagram has been everyone’s go-to social media platform to share bits and pieces of their lives—celebs included. Naturally, it’s become the place for up-to-the-minute updates on our fave A-lister, especially as of late. After seeing Crowe’s first IG, we couldn’t help but wonder: What were the first things our fave celebs Instagramed?

We scrolled through thousands of pics (literally), and it’s safe to say celebrities got better at the IG game with time. Exhibit A: Kylie Jenner. It’s hard to believe the reality star/entrepreneur/wig connoisseur (?), whose Instagram is filled with perfectly-filtered selfies and #ootds, christened her feed with a boring AF fireplace.

But they weren’t all bad. While Gigi Hadid and Gwyneth Paltrow posted very heart-warming pics of themselves with their mothers Chrissy Teigen and Emily Ratajkowski got behind the lens and made their baes the subjects for their first ‘grams. Meanwhile, David Beckham and Blake Lively took to the selfie route.

From Selena Gomez’s dance video to Beyoncé’s support for Barack Obama to Bella Hadid’s colourful socks (LOL!), we tracked down some of our fave celebrities’ first ever Instagram pics.
