Did Britney Spears Really Just Bump an Israeli Election?

Ultimate. Icon.

Britney Spears waits for no one...not even democracy.

The reigning Princess of Pop is set to perform in Tel Aviv on July 3 as part of her summer tour across Asia. Except, “oops,” July 3 just so happens to be the day The Israeli Labor Party has scheduled its primary election. Between traffic, security and sheer conflict of interest (Haaretz reported that there was “some consideration for the party faithful who want to vote in the primary and then watch Britney do her thing”), there wasn’t space in the capital city for both events. So, naturally, the party had to postpone the election to July 4. Because when pop stars and politics clash, you already know who’s coming out on top.

Would you hold it against her?
