Last night, Blake Lively, acclaimed self-styler, fragrance face and our all time favorite Gossip girl joined co-founder Beyoncé in celebrating the first anniversary of Gucci’s Chime for Change. The campaign, which Beyoncé founded alongside Gucci’s creative director Frida Giannini and actress Salma Hayek aims to benefit girls and women around the world in the areas of health, education and justice.

With Lively as the face of Gucci’s Premiere fragrance, she is helping to spread awareness of the campaign and is taking great pride in this new charitable endeavor—stylishly so, we might add in a mod-inspired Gucci mini dress she wore for last night’s event. The mustard yellow peek-a-boo dress turned the star into a sixties-studded dream, and was paired with sparkly gold Christian Louboutin stilettos. With a portion of the proceeds from the fragrance going toward Chime for Change and the opportunity for consumers to choose the cause they want to donate to, Blake notes that “[Gucci] is helping people understand where their money is going and giving them a real personal connection to it.”

Since last year’s Beyoncé-headlined Sound of Change Live concert in London, the campaign has raised over $4.75 million, which has funded 310 projects in 81 countries through 101 non-profit partners. Wow. “What is so interesting about this campaign is that its not just women empowering women. Men are also standing up and saying women need to have a voice- they need to have access to Education, Health and Justice in order to thrive. We are all in this together. It’s a true movement and I’m so honored to be a part of it” says Lively.

This year, Hudson’s Bay will be the exclusive retailer supporting the program in Canada. Customers can make a donation to the charity of their choice through catapult.org when they purchase a Gucci fragrance, including Gucci Guilty, Gucci Flora and Gucci Premiere, while quantities last.
