Beyoncé Paid a Subtle Tribute to Adele at the Beauty and the Beast Premiere
Can you two please just collaborate already?
The love affair between Beyoncé and Adele is the 2017 definition of #girlpower.
Our eyes welled with tears when Adele used her Grammy win speech to bow down to Queen Bey, and then again when Beyoncé shook her head and mouthed “I love you” in response. It’s not everyday that two of the world’s most influential and talented women show such vulnerable support for one another.
“I’m very humbled and very grateful and gracious, but the artist of my life is Beyoncé,” she said in her Album of the Year acceptance speech. “The Lemonade album, for me, is so monumental.”
That night, Adele wore a bejewelled lemon brooch on her custom green Givenchy gown, as a subtle and sweet nod to Beyoncé‘s Lemonade.
Now, it appears that Bey is returning the gesture.
Yesterday, she treated her fans adorable family photos on her website from the Beauty and the Beast premiere in Los Angeles. She and Blue Ivy rocked green Gucci dresses and made silly poses for the camera, while hubby Jay Z stood by in an embroidered denim jacket and Stan Smiths. It’s almost like they knew cameras would be nearby to capture their candid yet co-ordinated family moment.
One detail in particular caught the Beyhive’s eye.

That’s right. Princess Blue Ivy’s dress features an embroidered heart that reads “25,” which so happens to be the title of Adele’s album that beat out Lemonade at the Grammys for Album of the Year. It’s public knowledge that Queen Bey is a bit of a control freak, so we doubt that this detail could only be a coincidence. We hope Adele gets the message, and that the duo get to work on that rumoured "Girl Power Anthem" that we are all in desperate need of right now.
