Tiffany Haddish Says an Actress Bit Beyoncé’s Face

“Beyoncé’s at the bar, so I said to Beyoncé, ‘Did she really bite you?’ She was like, ‘Yeah.’ I was like, ‘She gonna get her ass beat tonight.’"

Tiffany Haddish, a celebrity who frequently selfies with other celebrities, is our favourite Hollywood story teller. In February, the Girl’s Trip star shared a headline worthy anecdote on TV One’s new docu-series, Uncensored. Here’s a summary: In December, Haddish attended Jay-Z’s concert at the Forum in Inglewood, California. At the after-party, she met Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Another actress was flirting with Jay-Z, touching his chest. Beyoncé, allegedly, came walking up to the unnamed actress with a demeanour that Haddish describes as, “Biiiitch!”

If we were Haddish, this would totally be our go-to story for dinner parties and family gatherings. You get to name drop Beyoncé and there’s a dramatic twist? It’s perfect! But, it turns out the chest touching altercation wasn’t the most memorable moment of the night. In a new GQ profile, Haddish spills a little more tea. Let’s walk through and unpack the interview:

An actress at the party — who may or may not be the same woman who touched Jay-Z’s chest — was out of control. And not just “I had one too many flutes of Armand de Brignac” out of control.

“There was this actress there,” continues Haddish, keeping her voice low, “that’s just, like, doing the mostest.” One of the most things she did? “She bit Beyoncé in the face.”

Sadly, we don’t know which actress. (But we do know that a handful of celebrities attended the concert, including Rihanna, James Franco, French Montana, and actresses Sara Foster and Sanaa Lathan.)

Haddish declines to name the actress.

Beyoncé would very much like to be excluded from this narrative.

(“I absolutely cannot comment on any of this, as I have no knowledge,” said Beyoncé’s representative, Yvette Noel-Schure, when GQ sought confirmation from the singer.)

It was chaos.

“So Beyoncé stormed away,” Haddish says, “went up to Jay-Z, and was like, ‘Jay! Come here! This bitch—’ and snatched him. They went to the back of the room. I was like, ‘What just happened?’ And Beyoncé’s friend walked up and was like, ‘Can you believe this bitch just bit Beyoncé?’ ”

More things happened.

“And so then…,” she continues, “a lot of things happened.”

In an interesting side-plot, the zombie-actress dislikes dancing. (Could this be a clue?)

According to Haddish, she and the actress continued to cross paths throughout the night, culminating in a brief standoff. The actress, at one point, told Haddish to stop dancing, which — good luck making that happen.

Tiffany Haddish, protector of good things, came to Beyoncé’s defence. Nobody takes a chunk of the Queen’s face on her watch!

“And then Beyoncé and Jay-Z walked by me, and I tapped Beyoncé.”

Haddish says she told Beyoncé, “I’m going to beat somebody ass at your party. I just want to let you know that.” Beyoncé asked her not to— told her to “have fun” instead. (Haddish leveraged this moment into a selfie with Beyoncé.)

Beyoncé is gracious. Beyoncé is good. If you bite Beyoncé on her face, she will forgive you.

“Near the end of the party,” says Haddish, describing her final run-in with Mrs. Carter sometime later, “Beyoncé’s at the bar, so I said to Beyoncé, ‘Did she really bite you?’ She was like, ‘Yeah.’ I was like, ‘She gonna get her ass beat tonight.’ She was like, ‘Tiffany, no. Don’t do that. That bitch is on drugs. She not even drunk. The bitch is on drugs. She not like that all the time. Just chill.’ ”

This tweet makes a whole lot more sense now.
