Art Basel Miami Beach: Inside a week full of epic parties at Soho Beach House

In the last ten years, Art Basel Miami Beach has become one of the most popular stops on the international party circuit, rivalling fashion week, festival season and all those other glamorous hotspots inhabited by the world’s most stylish jetsetters. Each year, the first week of December is a never-ending barrage of poolside parties, private dinners and special performances—not to mention the art itself. And while so many those must-hits tend to be spread as wide as the city itself, one place seemed to have its proverbial sh*t all in one seriously chic place: Soho Beach House.
The Miami outpost of London’s lauded members-only club Soho House (one of the only locations open to the public through its restaurant Cecconi’s and hotel resevations), held parties for everyone from Marc Jacobs to Vanity Fair to Garance Doré to New York gallery White Cube. Throughout the week, its terraces were graced by the likes of Kate Hudson, Rosario Dawson, Chanel Iman and Emily Ratajkowski. And because that wasn’t enough, its private beach was transformed into a tent late-night club, with after-midnight sets by The Roots drummer Questlove, DJ Brendan Fallis and Arcade Fire frontman Winn Butler.
