Andrew Garfield can’t stop, won’t stop kissing others, and we love him even more for it.
You may recall the 33-year-old actor shared a steamy smooch with Ryan Reynolds at the 2017 Golden Globes Sunday evening, when Reynolds lost “Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy” to another Canadian Ryan (Gosling).
And now, Andrew is explaining why he kissed the Deadpool star.
“I just wanted Ryan to know that I loved him no matter whether he won or lost,” Garfield told Stephen Colbert during his appearance on The Late Show Tuesday evening. “I just wanted him to know—I just, you know, it doesn’t matter. It’s how you play the game, and he showed up. He gave his all. It doesn’t change anything in my heart.”
Colbert then told The Amazing Spider-Man star he too is “totally” comfortable with kissing men, which then led to the duo sharing two(!!!) kisses.
The 52-year-old talk show host shared a screengrab of the smooch on Twitter, captioning the pic, “It’s getting hot in here!"
As for Gosling, he told Entertainment Tonight he’s “happy for [Garfield and Reynolds],” during a post-Globes interview. Meanwhile, Andrew’s ex-girlfriend, Emma Stone, was rather shocked by the smooch, but agreed she was “happy for them, too.”
