Vancouver: Tea time for tired skin

Tons of sun (and SPF, yes, but still) this summer plus an exhausting-but-fun trip to London Fashion Week means my skin has been none too pleased with me lately. To the rescue: the Green Tea Matcha Facial ($80) at the Spa at Suki’s (3157 Granville St., Vancouver, 604-738-2127, sukis.com), the unexpectedly-quiet sanctuary underneath the bustling South Granville hair salon.

I regretted skipping out on the steam room and infrared sauna, but was soon distracted by, well, relaxation. The facial began with an optional eyebrow touch-up before my aesthetician, Spa Director Megan Steczkiewicz, started working on my skin. Using Kerstin Florian products exclusively, the treatment combines the anti-oxidizing properties of Japanese green tea with a combination of botanicals to nourish dehydrated skin. Seventy-five minutes (and a few ZZZs) later, I emerged feeling refreshed and rejuvenated--and I can finally say the same for my skin.
