Urban Decay may be known for its cult-worthy cosmetics, but the beauty brand is now making its way into the skincare world.
On Monday, UD announced via Instagram that it would be launching a six-piece “Rehab Makeup Prep” collection, which, as the name suggests, is meant to “scrub, cleanse, revitalize and hydrate” skin for a perfect base.
And that’s not all: A Meltdown Makeup remover set is also being released, so you’ll have no excuses for not taking off your makeup (even “stubborn waterproof” products) before bed.
The Rehab Makeup Prep line features a Hot Springs Hydrating Gel, a Lip Love Balm, a Pore Refining Peel, a Pretty Gritty Skin Polish, an Oxygenated Bubble Mask and a Moisture Layer Eye Roller, while the Meltdown Makeup Remover set includes a Dissolving Spray, a Lip Oil Stick and a Cleansing Oil Stick.
But these new collections aren’t entirely surprising—Urban Decay has been teasing its focus on skincare lately, especially with its spring 2017 collection featuring (gasp!) no makeup, but rather re-launched versions of its beloved makeup setting sprays and primers.
It’s definitely a bold move for UD, but a smart one. After all, flawless makeup requires a good base, and not just on the surface.
No word yet on when Rehab Makeup Prep and Makeup Meltdown will be released, but we have a feeling it’ll be a hit among beauty lovers everywhere.
