Summer Fridays Expands Its Jet Lag Range + More Beauty News

After a summer of tropical getaways and European adventures, your skin desperately needs a refresh. Expanding its iconic Jet Lag collection, Summer Fridays is dropping two new skincare treats just in time: the Jet Lag Soothing Hydration Mist and the Jet Lag Deep Hydration Serum.

Giving a new name to the brand’s Dream Oasis Deep Hydration Serum (which initially launched in 2022), this lightweight jelly-serum leaves skin feeling soft and soothed — thanks to moisturizing ingredients like squalene, glycerin, and aloe. Need a quick hit of hydration? Spritz the ultra-fine mist all over the face for instant dryness relief and to form a protective moisture barrier over the skin. Name a better post-flight duo, we’ll wait.

Joni wants to hear your period stories

Summer Fridays Expands Its Jet Lag Range + More Beauty News

You may know Canadian period care brand Joni for their organic pads and tampons or their smart commercial period dispensers, but for their next period project, they need a little help from you. The brand is issuing a call for entries for its upcoming Book on Periods, due to launch in November, which will feature real period stories from folks in North America. With this anthology, the hope is to educate and empower people who menstruate — and to end the stigma that talking about periods is dirty or shameful.

According to the brand, one in three menstruators under the age of 25 live in period poverty. As the book becomes available for purchase in the fall, all profits will go towards providing free period care products to non-profit organizations, and schools across the U.S. and Canada.
