Smashbox and Vlada Haggerty Just Created the Most Expensive Lip Art Ever

A month ago, we announced that one of our favourite Instagram makeup artists, Vlada Haggerty (aka @VladaMUA), was linking up with Smashbox Cosmetics to become their Lip Editor-in-Chief.

Only a month into the (very cool) job, Haggerty and Smashbox have teamed up to create---wait for it---the most expensive lip art ever, to celebrate the launch of the Be Legendary Liquid Metal and the Be Legendary Liquid Pigment. In partnership with jewellery designer Zoe Chicco, they now hold the Guinness World Record for Most Valuable Lip Art. During the hour-long lip art installation, Haggerty used over 6.5 carats of diamonds (80 in total!) to decorate a model’s lips, with the final product totalling an insane $26,500.

Not exactly a look you can wear out to a restaurant, but we’ll take it.
