It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well, almost. The Sephora spring sale is almost upon us, and we’re making our lists and checking them twice. This is a great time to get your beauty shopping for spring and summer done, so get ready to stock up on your tried-and-true faves — and perhaps even encounter some new holy grail items, too.
The Sephora sale starts on April 4th and features 30% off all Sephora Collection products, 20% off for Rouge members, 15% off for VIB members, and starting on April 8th, 10% off sitewide for Beauty Insiders. We tapped FASHION‘s editors for their top shopping picks — one beloved item from their beauty cabinet that they’ll be restocking, and one new product that they’re dying to dry.

The Restock: Once I get stuck on a base product, I really get stuck on it. This will be my third restock, (which is actually more impressive than it sounds, because each lasts me a good six months at least). It’s the quickest, most natural-looking way to even out my complexion. It blends flawlessly, doesn’t cling to dry patches and although it doesn’t wear all day, when it breaks down, it does so gracefully (all I ask for in a foundation-like product). The stick format makes it very travel friendly, and buffing it out with a brush means I never get those telltale foundation fingerprints on my handbag. Merit knocked it out of the park with this product, and they know it, too.
The New Buy: A few weeks ago I met with Oribe’s Global Artist, Adam Livermore, who gave me some intel: Many of us aren’t washing our hair enough! “Three times a week is great,” he said. As someone whose hair gets oily the day after a shampoo, this was validating to hear. Still, anything I can do to stave off greasy roots and extend the life of my self-administered blow-outs is welcome. So instead of picking up another can of dry shampoo, I’ll be trying out this scalp spray, which you apply immediately after washing to rein in oil production.
The Restock: This is a must-have in my makeup bag at all times! It’s the ultimate beauty cheat for looking rested and refreshed. Its smooth, creamy texture blends seamlessly into skin, and the wide shade range ensures a perfect match for any complexion. Plus it can’t be beat for covering dark circles or blemishes.
The New Buy: I’m always on the lookout for good travel-sized products. Most of the time, when I travel for work I’m doing so with just a carry-on. And quality products under 100ml are oddly tough to find when you really need them. This set of six pro-grade minis stacked with superfood antioxidants is on my shopping list to for my next overnight trip. Minis are also a great way to test a product before investing in the full size. I love that this set is vegan and includes a wide range of products for all my skincare needs.
The Restock: My girlfriends and I were recently musing about the impact this mascara had on us as teens. The name alone was scandalous — which admittedly exhilarated us — but the results were even more exciting. It was an easy-to-apply, long-lasting formula in a sleek baby-pink vessel. The award-winning product was one of my first-ever Sephora purchases, and it’s a staple I always go back to. Over ten years later, I still feel the same about my first makeup love. It’s a cult favourite classic for a reason, and one I will definitely be restocking.
The New Buy: One surefire way to win me over? A berry-coloured blush. I have my eye on this just-launched offering by Rare Beauty, thanks to its cream-to-power formula. I love that it promises lightweight buildability with a blurring matte finish. (I tend to get extra shiny in the summer months, so some powder is always welcome.) I’ll be picking up ‘Truth’, the soft plum shade.
The Restock: I have something of an obsession with South Korean skincare — trust me, I have a pile of empty toner bottles to show for it. Out of the many brands and products I’ve tested over the years, this is easily my favourite one. Enriched with ceramides and peptides (a.k.a everything my eczema-prone combination skin type loves), it immediately improves my skin texture after application. A lifesaver!
The New Buy: This lip liner was initially released as part of a limited edition holiday set in 2023. Since then, fellow Merit fans have been waiting for the full range to launch. While I didn’t get the chance to try it during the initial drop, I’ve loved every single product I’ve tried from Merit, so I have a good feeling this lip liner will uphold that track record.
The Restock: Whenever my skin is in a serious mood, this is the serum I turn to. It instantly controls my acne, brightens my complexion and soothes my skin. Plus, the lightweight formula lends itself beautifully to layering under makeup. Currently adding 12 to my cart.
The New Buy: Incredible lipsticks, flawless setting sprays, high-beam highlighters — is there anything Charlotte Tilbury can’t do? If so, I haven’t found it yet. That’s why I have complete confidence in this new brightening and blush powder palette. Plus, I’m a sucker for adorable packaging.
The Restock: This is one of those legendary beauty products I’d always heard about but never tried for myself — until a year or two ago. The moisturizer-meets-primer launched in 2001 and quickly became a cult favourite. A jar of it is sold every 24 seconds globally, which is a coincidence because I happen to think about how much I love it every 24 seconds throughout the day. It’s a thick, silky, nourishing cream that’s loaded with hyaluronic acid, squalene, shea butter, and vitamins B, C, and E. It also acts as a makeup primer, hydrating and plumping skin, and helping foundation go on smooth (rather than sinking into any lines and creases) and ensures makeup stays put. 1000/10 no notes.
The New Buy: I stopped wearing highlighter a few years ago when I realized I just couldn’t find one that did everything I wanted it to do — that is, provide a glassy, wet-looking finish without feeling sticky, and above all else, contain absolutely NO glitter whatsoever. I’m so glad I waited for what looks like *the one* to come along. I just know that my Prince(ss) Charming after a lifetime of kissing frogs is going to be Haus Labs’ new highlighter stick. It comes in six shades but after watching many, many GRWM TikToks featuring the new launch, I have my eye on the clear one (called ‘Pure Glass’— swoon). It provides a glassy, natural-looking sheen without disturbing any makeup underneath. I cannot wait to try it out.
The Restock: This Makeup By Mario plumping lip serum is my favourite lip product of all time — and as a self-proclaimed connoisseur, that’s saying a lot. With the colour-payoff of a rich gloss and all the hydrating properties of a classic balm, the shimmery ‘Mauve Glow’ and ‘Plum Glow’ shades have been my go-tos since they launched.
The New Buy: I’ve heard such great things about this milky toner by Ilia Beauty. Formulated with hyaluronic acid for long-lasting hydration and nourishing plant-based ingredients such as microalgae and prickly pear extract, I’m looking forward to reaping all the smooth-skin results of this moisturizing essence.
