Exclusive: The scoop on Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey’s Dolce & Gabbana fragrance film

After months of teasers and anticipation, Scarlett Johansson and Matthew McConaughey are finally making movie magic together. However, their debut is of the small screen variety: they come together for “Street of Dreams,” a short film for Dolce & Gabbana’s The One ($66, sephora.ca) and The One for Men ($48, sephora.ca) fragrances.

Both actors have been the face of D&G fragrance for years now, but this is their first time appearing together on screen. What makes this 60-second stunner of a commercial even more exceptional is that the luxe brand enrolled the legendary Martin Scorsese to direct and film.

The short film combines the elements of classic Italian cinema and Old Hollywood glamour to depict an element of timelessness. Johansson arrives on screen, stunning in a black lace dress, showing off a flawless smile and figure to match. She hops into a vintage car driven by McConaughey, who looks equally refined in a suit and slicked back hair.

While the worldwide campaign kicked off on November 6, we have an exciting and exclusive look at the chemistry between the powerful film trio as they discuss the inspiration for their nostalgic vision of NYC. After watching it we have to admit: if a ScarJo and  McConaughey Rom Com was announced tomorrow we’d be pretty excited.
