Odds were not in favour for The Hunger Games nail polish collection

Popular movies and nail polish collections seem to go hand in hand these days—so it was no surprise when China Glaze announced they’d be releasing an official The Hunger Games collection. However, news broke this weekend that Lionsgate, the production company behind the film, has broken their contract and the collection is no more. American International Industries (who own China Glaze) are justifiably upset, and have sued. According to Hollywood Reporter “American says it purchased millions of dollars in nail polish materials and expended substantial time and labor in reliance on the fully-executed contract, and it wants $10 million in damages.” Will it be a fight to the death for the two? Or, considering the supplies have already been purchased, perhaps we’ll see the crafty release of a “teenage dystopian romance” collection in the new year.
