Why You Need to Follow @phoebejacobepstein on Instagram

Since we’re always on the hunt for new beauty peeps to follow on Instagram, we decided to start a series highlighting some of our fave under-the-radar accounts. Who: Phoebe Jacob-Epstein, 22-year-old makeup artist based in London.

Why you should follow her: Because her feed will inspire you to embrace imperfection and play around with your beauty look. In one of her posts, Phoebe encourages her followers to “use a heavy hand. Be super soft. Have fun. Experiment. Don’t be scared. You can wash it off.”

“I like abstract makeup as I like abstract art, who needs perfect makeup when you can express yourself with colour, shapes and textures?" the post reads. And honestly, in a world of Instagram brows, perfectly winged liner and intensely contoured cheekbones, her words (and work) are refreshing.

Our personal fave looks from the MUA? The ones where she really seems to embrace her inner child, treating her face like a canvas, whether that mean paint splatters over her eyes or hearts and stars drawn all over her face.
