Paris Fashion Week beauty: Which of Spring 2016’s trends are doable IRL?

Paris Fashion week had more than a few double tap-worthy beauty moments. For one, Pat McGrath went off the grid to preview her limited edition gilded makeup in the Jardins des Tuileries, painting beautiful and graphic gold shapes around and on the eyes of models and Parisian passersby. On the runways, most of the action was happening north of the nose as well, with artists like Peter Philips and Val Garland using smears and smatterings of paints and glitter for some show-stopping results. Not everything was as dramatic, though: lids were softly washed in pink at Dior, and at Céline, the strokes of liner were interesting, but entirely possible to DIY.

After seeing Tom Pecheux recreate Chanel’s baby blue eye shadow mask on his tiny talisman @pascalpascale, we wondered two things: where can we get our own little doll on which we can practice applying liquid liner? And, of all of these statement-making eye looks from Paris, which ones can we actually pull off IRL? Often it can feel like beauty is a spectator sport, especially when a runway or editorial look seems to have involved raiding a craft supply store, and a team of artists to pull it all together. But certain looks can be adapted and reborn as something we can actually wear every day.

Here, we cast our vote on some of our favourite looks from #PFW Spring 2016 and determine whether these looks can survive IRL or are best left on the runway.
