A standout feature of the volumizing mascara is its surprisingly small brush. “Large mascara brushes aren’t necessary,” says the brand’s CMO Aila Morin, during a video call. “They exist because psychologically they give consumers the idea of volume.” Prioritizing quality with intentional bristle design, “Merit’s Clean Volume Mascara has a very short and square brush, so you can get in and reach all lashes,” explains Morin.
Centred around a natural finish, the new product is available in a black or brown hue. Answering the requests of loyal Merit fans, the highly anticipated drop is sure to be a fan-favourite. “Brown mascara was the most requested Merit product,” says Morin. “It’s funny because [consumers] could ask for anything and they were asking for a brown mascara.”
