Lancôme announces makeup artist (and YouTube star!) Lisa Eldridge as Creative Director
Is this the biggest win for YouTube makeup artists ever? Lancôme just announced online makeup artist Lisa Eldridge as their new creative director of makeup. Eldridge has amassed over one million subscribers on YouTube and has created what might just be the most popular makeup tutorial videos on the web.
Eldridge formerly worked at the Lancôme counter at Harrods in London (talk about coming full circle!), before starting her video channel six years ago. Most recently, she was the creative director of Boots No7 until last year. Her videos have earned her celeb fans like Kate Winslet and Keira Knightley and led her to work with fashion houses like Chanel and Gucci, as well as some of the best names in the industry, including Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, Angelo Pennetta, and Sølve Sundsbø.
We can’t wait to see how Eldridge will bring her unique brand of real-girl makeup tips (her videos include beauty tips for meeting up with your ex, and how to fix “PMS face”) to Lancôme.
