Kim Kardashian West is Teaming up With Kris Jenner on a New Fragrance
Right in time for Mother's Day.
Mother’s Day is coming up, and to celebrate Kim Kardashian West has teamed up with the OG momager Kris Jenner on a new fragrance: KKW x Kris. The collaboration marks the first time Jenner has worked on a scent and the first time Kim and Kris have worked on a product together.
Launching on April 25, the scent celebrates “the unconditional love between mother and daughter” and features tops notes of freesia, tagete mingle and Aperol spritz, middle notes of white gardenia and tuberose, and bottom notes of cashmere woods, amber and vetiver. Kardashian West said the scent “smells exactly my mom who always smells amazing.”
In a release, Jenner explained that she and Kim have similar tastes which made “working together a dream” adding, “We both wanted a classic, ageless scent that is beautiful and empowering for anyone who wears it and I think this fragrance perfectly embodies that.”
The minimalist bottle design was inspired by Kim’s own home decor. “The design of the bottle was inspired by the neutral colour palette inside my home, knowing it would look beautiful in any bathroom or vanity, but also signifies the close bond between a mother and daughter,” she said.
On Instagram, Kim and Kris revealed that 20 per cent of the profits from sales of the fragrance between April 15-May 5 will be donated to Blessings In A Backpack, an organization that is helping to feed children while schools are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kim has previously tapped sisters Kylie, Khloe and Kourtney for fragrance collabs. Following Kris’s fragrance, this just leaves Kendall to create a scent with big sister Kim. However, it was revealed last year that Kendall had filed trademark paperwork for her own line of fragrances, including perfumes, shower gels, body lotions and cosmetics.
