Surprise! Kim Kardashian dyed her hair platinum blonde

Remember when Kim Kardashian donned a blonde wig back in the summer and the internet exploded? What about when she bleached her eyebrows? Well, those both seem like child’s play compared to the look Kim debuted outside of the Balmain show at Paris Fashion Week today---platinum blonde hair.

Yesterday, she posted a photo on Instagram of her long, square nails and we were all, “Oh, that’s nice, she’s trying new things.” Little did we know that she probably posted the photo from the chair of a hair salon, head covered in bleach. Kim’s makeup artist Rob Scheppy is the first of the Kardashian Klan (the glam team is obviously part of the family) to post a photo of the look, but we’ll be (im)patiently awaiting the official Instagram debut on Kim’s account.

If we’d heard about the transformation before seeing a photo, we’d definitely roll our eyes and place bets on how awful it must be, but we’re surprisingly into the look. Doesn’t she just look like the most beautiful alien you’ve ever seen?
