Katy Perry’s New CoverGirl Katy Kat Pearl Collection is Inspired by Mermaids
It hits stores in March/April.
Katy Perry’s all about that new-new lately. After changing up her hair to a platinum ‘do and releasing a (super catchy) single, the 32-year-old songstress is now launching another makeup collection with CoverGirl.
The “Chained to the Rhythm” singer casually revealed Katy Kat Pearl, her second collab with the brand at the 2017 Grammy Awards Sunday evening, using the limited edition products to create her glowy, pearlescent beauty look.
The products will launch in March/April and include four Katy Kat Pearl lipsticks in a moisturizing formula with a pearlescent finish, two Katy Katy Eye eyeliners, and two Katy Kat Pearl Shadow + Highlighter pots, which, as the name suggests, can work both as eyeshadows or highlighters. The collection will also feature the Katy Kat Mascara and Katy Kat Matte lipsticks, which are currently in stores.
According to PopSugar, Katy was inspired by “mermaid and pearlescent hues,” which is what resulted in the “fun and cheerful” colours in the line.
“You’ll make Ariel jealous, and look better than a shimmering Easter basket when you’re done,” she told the publication.
