Why You Need to Follow @katiejanehughes on Instagram

Since we’re always on the hunt for new beauty peeps to follow on Instagram, we decided to start a series highlighting some of our fave under-the-radar accounts. Who: Katie Jane Hughes, makeup artist

Why you should follow her: Eye makeup that’s cool af. The self-proclaimed “lover of glossy eyelids” (who is the MUA behind some of Glossier’s Haloscope campaigns) has a knack for creating statement-making looks that aren’t too OTT (think bright, graphic liner, glossy lids with a hint of colour and subtle dots of accent colour), all juxtaposed by bare, clean skin. There’s also something to be said about Hughes’ brows, which are always brushed up and slightly imperfect, just the way we like them. And we really appreciate that she creates the looks on herself to showcase on the ‘gram.
