Holographic Hair is Instagram’s Latest *Magical* Trend

It’s safe to say anything unicorn-inspired will be an instant hit with the Instagram crowd, so comes as no surprise that the social media app’s latest obsession, holographic hair, fits right into that category.

The hair trend, which Hello Giggles reports is being made popular by Ross Michaels Salon in Seattle, Washington, takes the unicorn/mermaid/rainbow/pastel hair look to the next level by adding some dimension to make it appear almost translucent. The mystical look was achieved by Ross Michaels Salon using Pravana shades (including Violet, Luscious Lavender, and Blissful Blue), along with Olaplex to seal in the blonde hue. The result? A stunning holographic effect in hair form (and just in time for festival season, no less!)
