Sometimes, Instagram beauty trends are ridiculous. Like #pumpkinspicehair, which is a hashtag people have assigned to auburn hair posts for some reason. But sometimes, Instagram hair trends can be seriously mind-blowing. Case in point: #galaxyhair. The latest version of rainbow hair has people reaching for jewel tones inspired by photos of the night sky, sunsets, and the like.

Obviously, the upkeep required to maintain the vibrant hues isn’t for the lazy. Regular touchups, infrequent washing, and colour-treated hair products are totally nonnegotiable.
