You Need to Follow Emily Wood on Instagram for Cool Girl Eye Makeup Inspo

Who: Emily Wood, makeup artist and hairstylist

Why you should follow her: Because makeup should be fun, and Emily Wood reminds us of that. As if her bold, eye makeup looks weren’t enough (think flames, hearts, stars and even the words ‘EYE YA’ painted overtop of her models’ lids), Wood’s cute captions (“Eye Heart You,” “eyeballs blazin” and “Starry eyed sis”) show the playfulness behind her artistry.

Not all of the Cassie Lomas Make Up Academy-trained artist‘s looks are OTT, however. Delicate details, like a teardrop lightning bolt accompanied by a glossy lid, red eyeliner stopping just mid-rim and red eyeliner in the waterline proves subtlety doesn’t have to be boring. And she’s got some pretty great contour and highlight skills.
