Chest Thump Please….Céline Dion is L’Oréal Paris’ Newest Spokeswoman

If you woke up this morning and did a quick scroll through Instagram with one eye open, you might have seen one exciting bit of beauty news pop up: Céline Dion announcing her new gig as spokeswoman for L’Oréal Paris. “I want everyone to feel that they have the right to express themselves, whether it is through fashion and beauty, by using their voice or through something else that’s important to them,” Dion said in a press release. “The world is changing, and L’Oréal Paris is part of that in a positive way since the brand is telling women that there is nothing wrong in realizing their dreams and speaking their mind.”

Joining the ranks of fellow ambassadors like Jane Fonda, Andie MacDowell and Julianne Moore, Dion will utter her first “Because I’m Worth It” on April 22 to promote the brand’s upcoming Excellence Hair Colour ad. It’s perfect timing for the 51-year-old Québécoise singer, whose residency at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas comes to a close on June 8—a looming date which has had fans wondering what could be in store next for the singer. Dion hinted that something might be in the works with L’Oréal, making an appearance at Couture Week in Paris wearing a hoodie printed with the words “I’m Worth It”, a foreshadowing of beauty contracts to come.

“I feel so good now that I don’t even want to think about my 20s and 30s, when I was still discovering myself,” Dion said of this stage in her life. “For the last couple of years, I have grown in a very strong and happy way through my passions, my work, friendship, motherhood. I am now embracing myself and feel free to do what I want, where I want, when I want.” All hail Queen Céline.
