Once again, Chanel has us mesmerized: Ouija board imagery makes for a playful Fall 2013 makeup collection video

Chanel Fall 2013 makeup collection

While it may be too early to talk about cooler temperatures, this new video from Chanel has us a little hypnotized for fall. Promoting the Chanel Fall 2013 makeup collection, the short film takes direction from Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel’s beliefs in luck and superstition. (The new beauty collection was inspired by the good luck charms that filled her apartment—hence its name, Superstition.) Black and white graphics blink repeatedly to the tune of a sleek electronic song while lipsticks, blushes and nail polishes dance across the screen. Chanel’s signature interlocking C logo is paired with occult-ish icons, including wheat sheafs, starbursts and Venice’s Lion of St. Mark. It’s basically like a tarot card set and a Ouija board came together and convinced us to purchase every single new Chanel Le Blush Crème shade and Le Vernis nail polish colour. And frankly, we’re okay with that.
