We’ve already told you why lip gloss should be making a comeback, but in case we couldn’t convince you, we have a feeling Lily-Rose Depp will.
The 19-year-old starlet is the face of Chanel’s new Rouge Coco Gloss—an ultra-hydrating, juicy gloss that’s non-sticky and feels like a balm—and makes a case for the lippie in the brand’s latest episode of Chanel Beauty Talks.
In the video called "Gloss Only,” the daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis chats with Chanel Global Creative Makeup and Colour Designer, Lucia Pica, while laying amongst tubes of Rouge Coco Gloss. She reveals she’s always been opinionated with her fashion and beauty choices, explaining how she’s dressed herself since she was one and a half and recalling how she was her friends’ “official makeup artist” at the tender age of 12.
And while Lily-Rose tends to favour peachy nude hues, she notes more bold colours are easily wearable as a gloss, offering her expert tip to do a “nude, muted line” afterwards to “get the shape that you like.”
She also adds that while most people might shy away from a lip gloss because of the stickiness, this formula is more silky and comfortable.
“It almost feels more like a balm than a lip gloss,” she says.
Watch the video below, and get ready to get your gloss on.
