Check out the fierce looks from this summer’s British music festivals »
The Brits are likely still sporting festival bed (er, tent) head and rinsing mud from their rain boots as they wind down from back-to-back music festivals. The muddy fields at Glastonbury and Wireless were perfect backdrops for the grunge-inspired festival hairstyles spotted in the past two weeks. We have all the latest hairspiration from the coolest British music festivals (with not a single a flower crown in sight!).
While braids and pastels were huge trends at both festivals, the final look of each has changed. Braids, while still intentionally imperfect, are neater and simpler than their previous intricate counterparts. Cressida Bonas’ pigtail braids legitimize the simple schoolgirl style as a mature look. And while the influence of ombre remains strong, it’s all about grown out pastel tones. Emily Kokal of Warpaint makes the former faux pas look effortlessly beautiful.
And, if your still craving festival headwear, maybe something more delicate is the way to go; Laura Whitmore has the answer to your headwear woes.
