We love it when companies find a cause that manages to be close to their hearts and close to their business. Biotherm, which makes products are full of ingredients taken from mineral-rich springs, has found the perfect fit in their “Nature’s Gift of Water” initiative, which raises funds to bring clean water to some of the world’s poorest places. This is the seventh time the company has joined forces with Unicef for the project.
Launched in 2002, the program has raised nearly $800,000—this year, the campaign will benefit children in Malawi by building wells and latrines and providing water testing and hygiene education.
The money is raised through sales of Biotherm’s Aquasource sets ($43, at drugstores), which includes Biotherm’s ultra-moisturizing Aquasource Non Stop gel, plus the facemask and serum. Each set, which comes wrapped in a drawing by 10-year-old Christina Choi of Toronto, brings in enough funds to give 64 kids access to clean water.
