With summer finally within reach, I’ve been rethinking my makeup routine. With the promise of long days spent outside, increasingly humid weather, and the inevitability of midday creasing, I’m gravitating toward breathable, buildable formulas that even out my complexion while still letting my skin shine through.

That’s where this round-up of the best skin tints and tinted moisturizers comes in. Today’s standout formulas deliver just the right amount of coverage and a host of skincare benefits, alongside radiant and natural finishes that feel tailor-made for warm weather. Exactly what I’m after. Another major plus of this everyday product is that many either include SPF or, if they don’t, are lightweight enough that their formulas seamlessly work with your favourite face sunscreens without pilling or leaving behind a greasy finish.

To determine the best skin tints on today’s beauty market, I tested a mix of recent launches and beloved favourites over several weeks, paying close attention to wear, texture and overall finish. Ahead, my edit of the best skin tints of 2026—with many available as part of this season’s Sephora sale.

Armani Beauty Golden Hour Skin Tint

Armani Beauty Golden Hour Skin Tint

Number of shades: 20

Coverage: Light

Finish: Radiant

The verdict: Formulated with brightening vitamin C, smoothing niacinamide and hydrating hyaluronic acid, this skin tint quickly became one of my favourites. I liked using a semi-dense foundation brush to smooth the product all over my face and neck, and I loved how it didn’t settle into any creases around my eyes or nose. It also boasts a 24-hour wear, and although I haven’t fully put that to the test yet, I did wear it for 14 hours one day and can attest that it held up beautifully.

Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint

Fenty Beauty Eaze Drop Blurring Skin Tint

Number of shades: 25

Coverage: Light-to-medium

Finish: Natural

The verdict: Just a few drops of this long-wearing skin tint instantly softened and blurred the look of my pores, which is no easy feat. I loved how it delivered a naturally smooth, “your-skin-but-better” finish without feeling heavy. It was hydrating, buildable and truly weightless. The best part? I had no issues whatsoever with creasing.

LIXR Beauty Skin Shake Bi-Phase Serum Skin Tint

LIXR Beauty Skin Shake Bi-Phase Serum Skin Tint

Number of shades: 20

Coverage: Sheer

Finish: Radiant

The verdict: This new tinted serum from recently launched Canadian brand LIXR Beauty combines skincare and makeup in a simple shake-to-activate formula. The tint blends sheer, skin-like coverage with hydrating squalane and jojoba oil to nourish, balance and support the skin barrier. Plus, its unique roller-ball applicator allows for controlled application (so you never have to worry about accidentally squeezing too much out of the tube). I enjoyed how the lightweight formula left a fresh, radiant glow that lasted all day.

Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer

Charlotte Tilbury Unisex Healthy Glow Tinted Moisturizer

Number of shades: One singular shade that seamlessly morphs to your skin tone

Coverage: Light, but buildable

Finish: Radiant

The verdict: I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this tinted moisturizer as much as I did, but since trying it, it’s become one of my most reached-for products. I was wary of its one-size-fits-all concept, but the product naturally adapted to my skin tone and left behind just the right amount of bronzed glow. I found that the easiest (and fastest) way to apply it was with my fingers, just like a moisturizer. If you’re looking for a low-effort product with high payoff, this is the best tinted moisturizer for you.

Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint

Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Tint

Number of shades: 8

Coverage: Light

Finish: Radiant

The verdict: This truly refreshing tint delivers a luminous, bare-skin glow that feels as hydrating as it looks. Made with an innovative formula that’s 75 percent water, the encapsulated pigments melted effortlessly into my skin for a naturally even, glowy finish. It wears comfortably thanks to a nourishing tamarind seed extract, making it ideal for light makeup days.

Saie Slip Tint

Saie Slip Tint

Number of shades: 14

Coverage: Medium

Finish: Radiant

The verdict: Although this product claims to offer light coverage, I actually found it delivered more of a medium finish for a tinted moisturizer—perfect for times when you want a bit more polish while still keeping things lightweight. Thanks to its use of hyaluronic acid, it helps prevent dryness while staying put all day. (Don’t let the name fool you, this formula is anything but slippery.) The real stars of this SPF 35-packed tint, though, are its licorice root extract and pansy flower, which work to brighten skin and help defend against environmental stressors like pollution and UV exposure that can accelerate signs of ageing.

Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer

Rare Beauty Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer

Number of shades: 24

Coverage: Light-to-medium

Finish: Radiant

The verdict: Consider this your shortcut to effortless, “no-makeup makeup.” This flexible tinted moisturizer delivered a sheer wash of pigment that subtly blurred my imperfections while imparting a naturally radiant finish that felt (and looked) fresh. I found that the formula blended easily, while its vitamin E and built-in sun protection helped defend against everyday environmental stressors, making it a reliable pick for dry and combination skin types alike.

Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint

Summer Fridays Sheer Skin Tint

Number of shades: 12

Coverage: Sheer-to-light

Finish: Natural

The verdict: This airy skin tint delivered sheer-to-light coverage that allowed for my natural complexion to shine through. Infused with tiger grass to calm redness and a hydrating blend of glycerin, hyaluronic acid and rich emollients, it smoothed, plumped and locked in moisture for a healthy, radiant look. It’ll be the perfect base product for easy sunny days, and I liked applying it with a makeup sponge or my fingers to really highlight its fresh, no-makeup finish.

Lancôme Skin Idôle 3 Serum Supertint

Lancôme Skin Idôle 3 Serum Supertint

Number of shades: 20

Coverage: Medium

Finish: Radiant

The verdict: Blurring the line between makeup and skincare, this ultra-lightweight tinted serum is made up of 87 percent skin-supporting ingredients. The liquid formula gave me a radiant finish with buildable medium coverage, while niacinamide and hyaluronic acid boosted hydration, supported my skin barrier and left complexions looking visibly plump and smooth. The result was a glow that felt as good as it looked—effortlessly dewy with weightless, all-day comfort.

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Gel Skin Tint

Milk Makeup Hydro Grip Gel Skin Tint

Number of shades: 15

Coverage: Light-to-medium

Finish: Natural

The verdict: Just as the name implies, this is one of the best skin tints for when you need your makeup to stay put all day long. Thanks to its use of slip-resistant blue agave extract, it paired perfectly with the brand’s cult-favourite Hydro Grip Primer, which optimized the formula for over 12 hours of crease-free and fade-proof wear. Infused with triple-powered hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, squalane and aloe water, the gel formula was deeply hydrating, smoothing and supportive of the skin barrier while delivering light-to-medium coverage with a dewy—yet natural—finish.
