Highlighters have officially spun out of control. If my eyes aren’t glazing over in boredom at the sight of each subsequent new launch, then they are being offended; last month, a three pan “extreme” highlighting palette came across my desk that was infused with extra crystals to create a metallic finish. *runs away screaming*.
If, like me, you are into the idea of glowing skin minus the sparkle or even a hint of mica (I do still love you, RMS Living Luminizer), there are plenty of products that deliver, without that being their sole intent. Some I’ve seen used backstage at NYFW (like Egyptian Magic Cream) and some I just discovered by accident. Just a dab on the tops of cheekbones and you will look suitably hydrated, positively luminous and nothing at all like a unicorn.
